THE COA HOME PLATE PROJECT!

Maintaining optimal health is one critical key to successful aging.  And proper nutrition plays an important rolein staying healthy.  Now you can sponsor home-delivered meals for elders who are making the hospital-to-home transition. According to a survey by Flagler Hospital, help with meals is the #1 request made by the older community upon discharge from a hospital or rehab care facility.  Please call Jasmine Hawkins at (904) 209-3693 to learn more.

(A partnership with Flagler Hospital) We also looked ahead at 2017. Executive Director Becky Yanni emphasized that our main priority would continue to be “mobilizing resources for the greater good of our community.”  If you have questions, ideas or comments – or if you’d like to get involved as a volunteer or financial supporter – please call us at (904) 209-3700. Step UP…To The COA Home Plate Project – http://www.coasjc.com/step-up-to-the-coa-home-plate-project/ Mon, 16 Jan 2017 21:25:54 +0000 http://www.coasjc.com/?p=2521 Step up to the plate! The COA Home Plate Project!

According to Flagler Hospital, the one thing that helps to ease the transition from a hospital stay back to independent home living for area elders is some help with meal preparation. Now YOU can offer that help. Your $100.00 donation will provide two daily meals for two older citizens for seven whole days!
How’s that for a home run? Call Cathy Rabino at (904) 209-3670 to learn more!

Michelangelo never stopped…what about you? http://www.coasjc.com/michelangelo-never-stopped-what-about-you/ Wed, 11 Jan 2017 13:03:40 +0000 http://www.coasjc.com/?p=2476 Michelangelo began working on the Pieta at the age of 22 and finished it at age 24. But, even when he was 87, he was still discovering, exploring and creating…in other words, he never stopped learning. We have activities and events for everyone of every age; take a class with your kids, golf with your parents or just enjoy lunch on the terrace with your friends. Stay active…stay engaged…stay involved…check out our centers and take a look at the calendars…there’s something fun happening right in your neighborhood!

What does Ebert think? Take a look and give a listen!

We think Ebert has some great advice and we can’t argue with anything he has to say! After all, he’s 88 and he certainly speaks from experience. But that made us wonder…what advice would YOU have for Ebert? Send us an email…we’d love to hear your thoughts!
